LAGOS @50 IN CELEBRATION WITH THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADAN

National Troupe Of Nigeria celebrates Lagos at 50 with
road show dance performances at Alausa, ikeja and under bridge, ikeja for two days ( yesterday and today).
Captain ARNOLD UDOKA said Lagos will be 50 next year so its a one year celebration, which was initiated by Professor Wole Soyinka. Today was set aside to celebrate the holy month of RAMADAN in Nigeria and also giving back to the society. One of the major reasons of this celebration is to give an unending value to the Yoruba dance culture and to make sure it is always alive in our hearts. He also spoke on the future of Nigeria's dance, saying it would be more cherished and versatile in the coming years.
DFtv also had a quick chat with a bold and active member of the group, Oguntade Adepeju Latifat. She was delighted about the performance and spoke about the market value of dance in Nigeria in which the government have not had the incentive to strategize dance in Nigeria because they feel it's not so important.
Mr Arnold Udoka and Oguntade Adepeju Latifat gave a warm shout out to DFtv and loyal dance fans out there who are willing to take their time out to accept and cherish dance and our culture.
