Red Bull BC One Holland Cypher celebrates their 5th
year anniversary
The international breakdance competition is back in the Netherlands
As Red Bull BC One enters its 13th year, big changes are at the horizon. In order to open up the event year-round to the wider community, we’re getting rid of the six regional Finals and replacing them with Red Bull BC One Camps all over the world. We’re going back to the core of what breaking is all about: culture. The World Final will once again be invitation only, with the exception of one name to be determined by a Last Chance Cypher where all Cypher winners throughout the year will compete for one open spot that will conclude the line-up.
On Saturday the 11th of June the very best dancers of the Netherlands will battle for a ticket to the World Final in Japan. But there is more than just the battle! On Friday the 10th of June there will be a Culture Night with a workshop from Timor Steffens, Theatre shows by The Ruggeds & Amenti Collective, The Wreckin Shop Hip Hop Freestyle Battle and an exposition by Dutch Hip Hop photographer Ilja Meefout. That’s not all thought, during week of the Holland Cypher the Red Bull BC One All Stars Lilou and Pelezinho will host a workshop tour throughout the Netherlands.
Both All Stars will be the judges of the Holland Cypher accompanied by Dutch dancer and member of the crew Illusionary Rockaz, Ray. Rotterdam based DJ Cut Nice will be behind the wheels of steel and former World Final host Mario Bee is the MC of the night. Let the battle begin!
